Titan aka Dawson
I meant to email you sooner with an update so I apologize for that! We did change his name, he is now Dawson.
The ride home went great after about an hour when he settled down. Just before Medford he decided that he wanted to ride in the front seat! That was an adventure, I thought I was going to crash when he was making his way up there :) I pulled over and got him situated in the back and then he stayed there the rest of the way home.
The introduction of the dogs was pretty hilarious. Our weim at first got overwhelmed by his size and she made a very weak attempt to snip at him (she is the most submissive thing ever). This scared Dawson half to death and he just laid down on the deck, legs in the air and let her smell him. After this they were wrestling and playing in the back yard for the rest of the day. The only issue is the mouthing, as he does this mostly to our weim and she hates it. We are working on it though, I am trying an air horn first before the shock collar. So far yesterday this worked really well. If it doesn't stick we can borrow a collar from a co-worker.
Other than that things are great! He has slept both nights in our room on a bed on the floor. He stays there all night and we don't hear a peep out of him. I got a gentle leader to walk him with and he does awesome on this! We've been walking and working on commands each morning and evening.
I really don't think we could have picked a better fit! I'll keep you posted as things progress and send some pics later. Thanks again for everything Shannon, we really enjoyed working with everyone through GDROMN!
